How to Vote on Community.XYZ

Locking Your Tokens

• Enter the ArDrive Community.XYZ portal & log in with your wallet or ArConnect

• Head to the “Vault” located at the top of Community.XYZ
  

  

• Click on “Lock tokens”

• 

  When the prompt comes up, decide how many ArDrive Tokens you want to lock and how long you want to lock them for. It costs AR to lock your tokens and vote on Community.XYZ

  • The longer you lock your tokens, the more weight they carry in a vote. For example, 10 Tokens locked for 2 years carry more weight than 20 tokens locked for 1 week.

  • Once your tokens are locked, you cannot transfer or sell them on an exchange, like Verto.

• Once your tokens are locked, you’ll see them in your Vault & you’re ready to vote.

Unlocking Your Tokens

• When you LOCK your tokens, you cannot UNLOCK them until the period you set ends. 

  • This is the same regardless if the tokens were minted and locked right in your vault, or if you locked them into your vault yourself. 

• The tokens must be manually unlocked after the lock period ends.
