Known Issues

Here is a list of the known problems and bugs with ArDrive clients or integrations.

ArDrive Web

Drag and Drop

The ArDrive Web App allows you to drag and drop files into the main Explorer view. This is a quick and easy way to get public or private data on the PermaWeb. However there is a known issue, where this drag and drop functionality does not preserve the file’s last modified date, provided by the user’s operating system.

If preserving the file’s original last modified date is important for your use case, please use “New → Upload File(s)” to upload your data.

Large File Downloading on Chrome Web Browser

We learned that there’s a limit on large file downloads ~500MB on Chrome browsers. While we work on fixing this issue with Chrome, files can still be downloaded in other ways:

• Use another broswer (e.g. Firefox)

• Our CLI

  • file download limits are increased when using the CLI

• Viewblock

  • Because your data is saved on Arweave, if it’s public, you can download it directly from Viewblock when you search the transaction ID & click on the Link.
